2005-06: Our take: It's been an interesting career for Speedy Claxton, and now, he could add the Sixth Man Award to that list. Claxton is averaging 12.3 points per game in 71 contests, only three of which he started, which is just shy of his career best of 13.1 ppg when he played 46 games for Golden State in 2004-05. While most sixth men fire when ready, Claxton has proven himself to be valuable on defense as well, with 1.52 steals per game, good for 18th in the NBA.
