Career Highlights: Second Team All-Big 12 selection as a junior. NABC All-District 9 Second Team pick as a junior. Named to the All-Big 12 Freshman Team. Named to the Big 12 All-Improved team and All-Underrated team as a junior.

Senior (2005-06): Finished fifth on team in scoring (9.5 ppg), third in rebounds (7.0 rpg), and second in blocks (1.7 bpg). Scored in double figures 16 times. Had four double doubles. Finished with 13 points, a season-high 14 rebounds and two blocks in the Longhorns’ loss in the NCAA Elite 8 to LSU. Totaled 28 points, 30 rebounds and five blocks in four NCAA Tournament games.

Junior (2004-05): Finished third on team in scoring (12.5 ppg), first in rebounds (8.3 rpg) and second in blocks (50). Scored in double figures 20 times. Posted seven double-doubles. Scored 20 or more points three times, including a season-high 27 points in wins over Oklahoma State and Colorado.

Sophomore (2003-04): Finished seventh on team in scoring (5.7 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (4.5 rpg). Led the team in blocks (34). Scored in double figures five times and had three double-doubles. Totaled 16 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks in three NCAA Tournament games.

Freshman (2002-03): Led the team in blocks (29) and finished second in rebounding (5.3 rpg). Also finished first in field goal percentage (.517). Totaled 32 points and 20 rebounds in five NCAA Tournament games, including 14 points and seven rebounds against Syracuse in the Final Four.

Strengths: Good defensive rebounder. Good free throw shooter. Has proven he can score when given the chance. Played his best against top competition.

Personal: Son of Brent and Tammy Buckman. Father, Brent, is the golf pro at Spanish Oaks Golf Club in Austin and played alongside Ben Crenshaw and Tom Kite on two NCAA championship teams at Texas. Wears jersey No. 22 in honor of former high school teammate and close friend Brendan Mooney, who passed away in December 2001 of spinal meningitis.
