Suns Have History Overseas
With Training Camp in the books, the 2006 trip to Europe was not the first - nor probably the last - time the Suns have ventured overseas. In 1990, Phoenix opened up the season in Japan with back-to-back games against the Utah Jazz. The team then traveled to Munich, Germany, for the McDonald's Open in 1993. Following a run to the 1993 NBA Finals, the club faced Arvydas Sabonis and the Italian League champion Buckler Bologna.
