Operation Minnesota Heroes Month presented by POPP.com honors, serves and recognizes Minnesota troops and their families. The goal of this campaign is to demonstrate the organizations support and appreciation of those working to protect our country at home and abroad.

Heroes in the Making: During each November home game Purple Heart recipients who returned from Iraq will be honored in front of the Target Center's fans. Each Hero will receive an autographed basketball and a grant from the Minnesotans' Military Appreciation Fund. In addition there will be pre-game surprise messages from troops abroad to family members in Minnesota. Everyone will receive a suite tickets to the game and gift bags.

Military Night: On Saturday November 1st the Minnesota Timberwolves will devote an entire game night to the military including a military National Anthem singer, honoring current and previous military personnel in every branch, as well as a moment of silence for the fallen. The FastBreak Foundation will also announce the recipient of their November $10,000 grant. The Timberwolves will donate over 3,000 tickets to members of the military and their families.

Reading Time-Out: The FastBreak Foundation will also host a Reading Time-Out with students with Timberwolves players and Purple Heart recipients. After everyone reads they will all create Thank You letters to send to the troops abroad.

Give Thanks Event: The Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation will host 60 returning Purple Heart recipients and other military guests for a night of entertainment at The View Restaurant. Minnesota Timberwolves players and coaches will serve the guests Thanksgiving style dinner. Everyone attending will receive giftbags and tickets to watch the Timberwolves in action.

Community Basketball Clinic: The Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation will help area children fine tune their basketball skills as the Timberwolves Coaching staff helps to teach basketball fundamentals.
